We exist because we got tired of watching talented businesses get mediocre marketing advice from agencies that outsource the thinking to juniors. Our story

Built from the operator's side of the table.

Before Brand Butter, we spent a combined two decades building digital products, scaling platforms, and consulting for enterprise clients. Matt built Rise into one of North America's largest home-improvement platforms, reaching over 10 million users and eight figures in product sales. Andrew ran enterprise consulting at Skillsoft for brands like Ralph Lauren, Hermes, and Hearst Media, then joined Matt as COO of Rise to manage cross-border operations.

What we learned along the way is that most marketing agencies are structurally incapable of delivering strategy. They're built to produce deliverables, not outcomes. The junior team does the work. The senior partners show up for the pitch and the quarterly review. The gap between what's sold and what's delivered is where growth dies.
